Groundwater Quality Evaluation of the Dawu Water Source Area Based on Water Quality Index (WQI): Comparison between Delphi Method and Multivariate Statistical Analysis Method

Water quality in the Dawu water source area is primarily studied through traditional assessment method that measures chemical parameters of against existing standards, which simple but cannot accurately describe quality. Although index (WQI) proposed by Horton widely used for comprehensive evaluation, parameter selection and weight determination are based on Delphi method, subjective random. Moreover, groundwater focus laid general parameters, such as Total Dissolved Solids, hydrogen ion concentration, Electrical Conductivity, heavy metals, Hydrargyrum, Arsenic, Chromium, with limited consideration organic pollutants. In this study, WQI technology combination entropy was to evaluate environmental area, scientific results were analyzed comparing full index, Delphi, multivariate statistical analysis methods. The showed generally had good potable application more suitable than process.
